You’ve probably heard about Monaco—a sovereign city-state on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea known for its elegance, heritage, and international presence. It holds global recognition for its strong diplomatic ties, cultural institutions, and commitment to sustainability and innovation. It is also home to notable figures such as H.S.H. Prince Albert II, a prominent advocate for environmental causes, and Charles Leclerc, a Formula 1 driver born and raised in Monaco. Through its consulates around the world, the Principality of Monaco continues to foster dialogue, cooperation, and cultural exchange.

We are proud that our team at Ibis Studio had the opportunity to design and develop the new website for the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Miami—an elegant, modern platform that reflects the values and vision of the Principality while serving as a vital resource for its diplomatic and cultural outreach.

About the Consulate

Monaco, known for its global reach despite its small size, maintains several consulates worldwide to support its citizens and build strong cultural and economic ties. The Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Miami acts as the Principality’s official representative in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Beyond assisting Monaco’s citizens, it promotes trade and cultural exchange, creating bridges between Monaco’s institutions and those in its jurisdiction. Leading this effort is Mr. Tomas Abreu, who was first named Honorary Vice Consul in 2009 and promoted to Honorary Consul in 2015—appointments personally authorized by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, underscoring the importance Monaco places on these international connections.

This is the second time we have designed a website for the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Miami. While websites are often valued for their aesthetics, for an institution of this importance, they serve a much deeper role.
