As we mentioned before, Facebook is a viable but very limited option for pay-per-click advertising as compared to the search engines and other Social Media Ads. But with recent reports of Facebook raising $450 million from Goldman Sachs, $50 million from Russian investment firm Digital Sky Technologies and talk of an additional 1.5 billion on the horizon, there is little doubt that Facebook will become an even bigger player in PPC advertising.
With all of the money raised by Facebook, it’s reasonable to imagine Facebook wanting to compete with the big search engines and expanding their PPC capabilities.
